Netball is played predominantly in the Lent term, although training does take place in the Michaelmas term in preparation for County tournaments and for senior girls.

An inclusive and competitive fixture list enables all girls at Trent to have the opportunity to represent the school in team fixtures. All girls up to and including Year 11 play the sport with teams from first VII through to 14d level. Our Year 7 and Year 8 pupils play on a Wednesday afternoon and every pupil will be selected to play in the fixture programme.

Dedicated Netball specialists and Physical Education teachers ensure all our pupils receive the best coaching possible. We have strong links with Loughborough Lightening and a wide range of local high quality Clubs.

We enjoy considerable success at County, Regional and National level. The development of teams and individual players both on and off the court continues to be a high priority. We challenge and mentor players in the areas of physical conditioning, muscular endurance and the nutritional.

Touring is an exciting way to play the game in different countries, with Junior sides travelling to Jersey ( 2011) and the Senior teams to Barbados (2010) and Dubai (2012 and 2014)

Scholarships are available for Sport and we warmly welcome enquiries from students who are looking to enhance their Netball development through Trent. Please contact Gemma Mayfield for further information about Netball and Netball opportunities at Trent College gemma.mayfield@trentcollege.net
