The Community Service activity involves 50 pupils from Years 11 and 12.
The students visit the elderly in the local community and provide much needed company for those who do not have any family or friends nearby. The activity also includes local nurseries where pupils go and help the staff there with young children from the ages of 6 months to 4 years.
Twice a year we invite several Nottinghamshire Special School pupils into Trent and provide them with a varied activity programme. This includes using equipment in the Sports Hall, computer software programmes, animal-viewing in Biology, Art work and use of musical instruments. Trent pupils have the responsibility of taking the visiting pupils around all the activities and often accompany them to lunch at Trent.
