Director of External Relations

Permanent; full-time

Trent is a successful, selective day and boarding school in which every pupil is given the individual care and guidance which enables them to flourish at school and in later life. Based at the Senior School, the scope of the role encompasses both the Senior School (Trent College; Year 7 to Year 13) and the Junior School (The Elms; nursery to Year 6).

Reporting directly to the Head of Trent College you will play an important role in helping to formulate and carry out the school’s strategic aims in admissions and marketing activity. The Director of External Relations will lead members of the External Relations Department which includes Admissions and Marketing and also encompasses the Development and Alumni Relations Office. 

The department benefits from recently centralised and refurbished offices in the heart of the school.

The successful candidate will have experience of developing and implementing strategic and tactical plans at a senior level, a demonstrable understanding of the principles of admissions, marketing and communications, and experience of managing within these areas.

Head of Hockey

Full time; required from September 2017 or January 2018 if circumstances require.

Trent is a successful, selective day and boarding school where academic excellence, sporting achievement, musical accomplishment and participation in the arts are all highly prized.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an outstanding hockey professional to join our highly successful Sports Department which has seen regular representation at National level competitions in hockey over previous years.

Applications from qualified teachers and from talented non-teachers with strong experience and qualifications in hockey will be considered. The successful candidate will be able to coach hockey to a high standard and will have the organisational skills to take responsibility for the provision of hockey at Trent.

Flute Teacher

Required from September 2017; part-time

Trent is a successful, selective day and boarding school where academic excellence, sporting achievement, musical accomplishment and participation in the arts are all highly prized.

We require a flute teacher who is able to teach pupils from beginner level through the grades to diploma standard. Flute is a popular instrument and musicians have opportunities to perform solos and in school orchestras, wind bands, chamber music. Some of our pupils are also members of county-level ensembles.

As well as performance practice and technique you will be required to have a good understanding of supporting skills such as aural and music theory.

Lessons lasting 30 or 60 minutes each are all delivered individually.

Art Technician

Permanent; Term Time (16hrs per week to be worked on a Thursday and Friday) + 10 days

Trent is a successful selective day and boarding school where musical accomplishment, participation in the arts, academic excellence and sporting achievement are all highly prized.

We are looking to appoint a technician to work within our vibrant Art Department.  The Technician will have a background in art and design, ideally with experience in the use of textiles, photography and printmaking.  Duties include working alongside the Art teaching staff, helping in the preparation of lessons, ordering and managing stock and the general maintenance of this very busy department.
