Assistant Head (Head of Sixth Form)

Required from September 2017, or January 2018 for an exceptional candidate.

Class Teacher (The Elms)

Juniors – 3 Days Per Week / Temporary Contract

The Elms Nursery and Junior School to Trent College is a thriving independent school on the Nottinghamshire/ Derbyshire border and caters for children from birth to 11 years.

Required for 1 September 2017, A suitably experienced and well-qualified primary trained teacher is required to job-share a class of junior aged pupils at The Elms for a fixed term contract of 1 academic year.

The successful candidate will be required to teach English, maths and the humanities as other areas of the curriculum are taught by subject specialists.

Applicants are invited to state their curriculum strengths and indicate where they can contribute to the full life of the school, including the running of extra-curricular clubs. Applicants must also be willing to play a full part in the extra-curricular life of this school and undertake residential visits / support open days as required.

Salary is commensurate with experience and is above the Main Scale in the maintained sector. HR Manager

Permanent; full-time

Trent is a successful, selective day and boarding school in which every pupil is given the individual care and guidance which enables them to flourish at school and in later life.

Reporting directly to the Bursar you will take full ownership for all HR matters with a strong focus on safeguarding, recruitment, performance management and employee relations. You will work closely with the Head and Bursar on strategy implementation, budget control, introduction and development of HR policy. In addition you will take responsibility for employee engagement and retention strategy and ad hoc duties in line with the HR Manager role.

The successful candidate will be CIPD qualified or equivalent and able to demonstrate both excellent communication and time management skills. You will need excellent experience in HR Management including implementation of policies and change. Finally the right person will also have a good understanding of, and be up to date with employment law.

Teacher of Special Educational Needs

We are looking to appoint someone with experience of working with students with a range of additional needs in Years 7 to 13. The Learning Support Team are committed to providing high quality teaching and learning for all students and the candidate will need to be able to deliver a range of interventions to support student progress. Success in helping students with additional learning needs fulfil their potential is essential.
