Estates Mechanical & Electrical Maintenance Operative

Permanent. 40hrs per week (0800 to 1700), all year round

We require a Mechanical & Electrical Maintenance Operative to work as part of our multi-skilled estates services team. The post holder will respond in a timely manner to all day to day repair and maintenance requests. They will work to ensure compliance with all statutory legislative requirements, industry guidelines and internal health and safety policy.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role or be willing to undergo relevant training. They will have a flexible and can-do attitude, be able to work effectively on their own initiative and also as part of a team.

Salary package will be commensurate with experience and qualifications and includes a generous school fee discount and complimentary use of the excellent leisure and dining facilities.

Housemaster Blake

Full-time

Required for September 2017 or January 2018

Trent is a successful, oversubscribed selective day and boarding school where pupils receive the individual care and support which enables them to flourish.

Blake is one of the school's four boarding houses, it currently houses 28 boys in years 11 to 13. The majority of boarders at Trent College and Blake House board on a weekly basis.

Experience of working in a boarding house, a proven record in pastoral care, the ability to work in a team, a high standard of teaching and a willingness to play a full part in the boarding life of this vibrant school is an essential part of the role.

The school is interested in applications from teachers with any specialism.

Temporary Teacher of Maths

Required from November 2017

12 Month Fixed Term Contract to cover a period of maternity leave, Part Time

The Mathematics Department requires an exceptional and inspirational Teacher to join the department, which is already highly successful and collaborative.  The appointed candidate will be expected to teach at all levels from Years 7 to 11.

This is a year’s fixed term contract covering a staff member’s maternity leave.

Flute Teacher

Required from September 2017; part-time

Trent is a successful, selective day and boarding school where academic excellence, sporting achievement, musical accomplishment and participation in the arts are all highly prized.

We require a flute teacher who is able to teach pupils from beginner level through the grades to diploma standard. Flute is a popular instrument and musicians have opportunities to perform solos and in school orchestras, wind bands, chamber music. Some of our pupils are also members of county-level ensembles.

As well as performance practice and technique you will be required to have a good understanding of supporting skills such as aural and music theory.

Lessons lasting 30 or 60 minutes each are all delivered individually.
